Jeannette Thai, MD
Jeannette Thai, MD, specializes in obstetrics and genecology. As an
obstetrician, Dr. Thai provides prenatal care for a woman and her developing baby.
As a gynecologist, she further supports women’s health care by conducting
screening tests, such as pap tests, HPV testing, and breast exams. Her special
areas of interest are in menopausal care, including medical and surgical
therapy of urinary incontinence and hormone therapy, and infertility issues.
Dr. Thai did her undergraduate studies at UCLA and graduated from Tulane
University School of Medicine. She began her internship and residency at
Kaiser Medical Center of California and completed it at Providence Hospital.
She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Thai is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She is fluent in spoken and written English, French, and Vietnamese.

Helene Lacoste, MD, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, the care of
women during pregnancy, as well as the treatment of diseases that affect a
woman’s reproductive system.
Dr. Lacoste is prepared to care for a woman’s health needs, from
routine gynecological exams and pap smears, fertility issues, pregnancy and
childbirth, all the way through the stages of menopause.
Dr. Lacoste is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine,
and her residency was completed at Sinai Hospital. She is a member of the
American Women’s Association and the American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology. In addition to English, Dr. Lacoste speaks fluent French.
Paul Hakim, MD

Paul Hakim, MD
Dr. Hakim is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and
completed his residency training at Providence Hospital. As a board certified
obstetrician and gynecologist, he provides a complete spectrum of health care
services to meet the unique needs of women.
His special areas of interest include the evaluation and management of
fibroids, bleeding irregularities, and pelvic pain. Other areas of focus
include the prevention and screening for common diseases such as heart disease,
osteoporosis and cancer. By working in partnership with his patients, he
provides a framework for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Dr. Hakim provides a wide range of surgical services with an emphasis on
laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. Surgeries such as robot-assisted
hysterectomy and laser myomectomy, and procedures for incontinence and prolapse
can be performed as outpatient or short stays where traditionally a lengthy
hospital stay was required. Smaller incisions and shorter hospitalizations
translate into shorter and less painful recovery periods for his patients.
Dr. Hakim’s professional affiliations include the American College
of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the
American Medical Association.

Melissa Marback, MD
I am a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 20 years
experience caring for women. While I still enjoy sharing in the excitement
and joy of obstetrics and birth, I find as my practice and I have matured,
I have discovered new interests in caring for the unique health care needs of
women of all ages. Perimenopause and menopause have become more of a focus
for me as I work with my patients to develop individualized strategies to meet
the opportunities and challenges in this new phase of their lives. Recently, I have begun incorporating bio-identical hormones into my practice and have been pleased with the results.
On a more personal note, I am married and live in the suburbs of Detroit.
I have a stepson in college, a daughter in high school, and a son in middle
school. Most of my time is spent at work or being a mom, but I also enjoy
reading fiction and playing the piano.
My medical degree is from Wright State University School of Medicine in
Dayton, Ohio, and I completed my internship and residency at the University
of Illinois in Chicago. I have practiced at Providence Hospital since 1992.
I was recently honored to receive the 2007 Ob/Gyn Physician’s Excellence
Award at Providence, recognizing clinical excellence, dedication to service,
commitment to patient care, and outstanding collaboration with nurses.

Soheyla Pezeshki, MD, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
As an obstetrician, Dr. Pezeshki provides prenatal care for a woman and her
developing baby. As a gynecologist, she performs a variety of gynecological
services and further supports women’s health care by conducting screening
tests such as pap smears, HPV testing, and breast exams. Her special areas
of interest are in menopausal care, female infertility disorders, and urinary
incontinence issues.
Dr. Pezeshki did her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and
Michigan State University and graduated from Wayne State University School of
Medicine in 1994. She completed her residency at Sinai/DMC. Dr. Pezeshki is
a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is fluent
in English, Turkish, and Persian.
